该项目为国内第一次引入外资介入中国铁路旅客列车的的建设和运营，该项目列车由全球最大的运输设备制造商庞巴迪（BOMBARDIR GROUP）设计制造，由全球著名的酒店管理集团凯宾斯基酒店管理集团(KEMPINSKI GROUP)
负责管理和运营，定位打造世界范围内最先进和豪华的陆地超五星级流动酒店，在中国铁路发展史上具有特别的意义。
飞鹰微电子为该项目提供研发的多款产品和系统，其中包括全车数字与语音通讯系统、乘客信息与娱乐系统、全车门锁控制系统、全车灯光和照明控制系统等。
